If I wake today, I will not be hurried
On this morning I do not fear, I am not worried
I put on my armor in prayer
I cleanse my thoughts and prepare
I get up in the mirror and give thanks to my reflection
And recite another blessing for added protection
I am not anxious for what lies ahead
I know I am loved and I’m protected instead
No matter the battle with spirit or man
I pray for God’s power and love to steady my hand.
